Strawberry Cherry Shakeology (1 red, 1 purple)
Today I used some fresh cherries, lemon juice and almond extract to my strawberry Shakeology and it was summery and delicious! I love how it keeps me full til lunch and tastes like such a treat.
Ground Seasoned Turkey, Roasted Vegetables, Brown Rice (1 red, 1 green, 1 yellow)
I’m loving my lunch time rice bowls. They keep me so full and I find myself not even needed a second snack most of the time. Today I used some fresh zucchini and tomatoes from our garden and seasoned them with Italian seasoning and a little salt before roasting them. If you’ve never roasted a tomato, you are seriously missing out. I seasoned the ground turkey with my favorite blend of onion powder, salt, garlic powder, and Worcestershire and caramelized some onions (using only cooking spray and water) for added sweetness.
Trout (1 red) with Green Beans (1 green) and Wild Rice (1 yellow)
Tonight was the first night I ate a restaurant during the Fix, and we went to one of our favorite local spots called The Wildflower Cafe. They serve all local veggies and farm-raised meats, and the menu is always changing to take advantage of the fresh produce available. I enjoyed the special, which was trout with wild rice and pan-seared green beans. It was amazing! I had saved one of my yellow containers for wine and I’m so glad I did. They featured a White Peach Sangria that was just amazing. I was so proud of myself for sticking to my meal plan and not caving when they told us the dessert specials!
