The Workout: Yoga Fix EXTREME
I have to admit, I’m not a huge yoga fan. When I was doing the original 21 Day Fix, I usually skipped the Yoga Fix and did Pilates instead. I know, I’m terrible. My problem is that I don’t care for the repetition and I get a little bored. So, I didn’t have high hopes for the Yoga Fix EXTREME. But I have to say I actually enjoyed it! The rest of the week was so physically demanding that I desperately needed a good stretch, and this workout definitely provided that. They did a great job of showing the regular and modified versions of each move, as well as more advanced, super stretchy bendy versions. In addition to getting a good stretch, I really enjoyed the balance series, which is something that will benefit me when I’m doing the other workouts as well.
The Meals: Countdown to Competition Eating Plan
egg whites + steel cut oats + coconut oil (1 red + 1 yellow + 1 tsp)
Shakeology (1 red)
ground turkey + green beans (1 red + 1 green)
Simple and delicious. Ground turkey seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and some Mrs. Dash salt-free table seasoning. I drizzled some Balsamic vinegar on the green beans.
barbacoa + peppers + guacamole (1 red + 1 green + 1 blue)
